The park in Porta Venezia, which we named Village of Wonders, was established in 2008 out of a desire to provide excitement and fun for the whole family.
In the center of Milan, in the historic and evocative Indro Montanelli Gardens, also known as the Porta Venezia Gardens or the Via Palestro Gardens, the idea of bringing Christmas to life in an evocative way for young and old alike comes to life.
The first edition of the Village of Wonders theme park opens on December 6, 2008, thanks to an innovative concept conceived and developed by the artistic direction of Ambra Orfei and Gabriele Piemonti. A holiday season event also strongly desired by the City of Milan and the Department of Sport and Recreation.
Thus, the children’s park “Village of Wonders” is conceived as the first example of a “Christmas theme park” in the city center, where the scenery designed and cared for to the smallest detail by our company SCENIKO EVENTS recreates the typical magic of Christmas and where Christmas attractions, the centerpiece of the Village, enchant children of all ages.
The success of the format has made The Village of Wonders one of the most anticipated events during the holiday season, and over the years to date it has seen the emergence of attractions, animations and sets. An event that is simply not to be missed!
Godmother and exceptional testimonial of the event is AMBRA ORFEI who signs the direction and artistic direction. Like every year, in fact, Ambra Orfei will be present at all the most significant events and initiatives planned inside the Village during the opening season. Special guests, VIPs, celebrities and more will keep all visitors company, providing pleasant moments of light-heartedness for the whole family.
The Village of Wonders is an event for everyone, kids, adults, families, a real chance to get excited together. Adults will be surprised to dream, the little ones will be enchanted.
Every time you plow through the large and bright entrance gate of the Porta Venezia Gardens, you will enter the magic and warmth of Christmas; at that point, as you follow the illuminations and driveway decorations, let yourself be moved by everything around you: the warm lights, the tall trees, the ice rink, the Christmas music, and the events that take place inside the Village every day.

FAQ – Frequently asket questions
When does the Christmas Village start?
From November 16, 2024 to January 6, 2025.
Reservation is required?
No, reservations are not necessary. The park is located within the public gardens of INDRO MONTANELLI and entrances are free in all areas of the Village.
Is there a charge for admission?
No, admission to the Village of Wonders is FREE, only the carousels and skating rink are charged.
Are dogs allowed inside the Village of Wonders?
Of course, being an outdoor Christmas park, animals are allowed.
Small animals may be held in arms or in pet carriers, while leashes are recommended for medium and large dogs
Can baby strollers and baby carriages be brought in?
Of course, the park is family-friendly, set up for wheelchairs and strollers to pass through. It also has bathrooms with a heated nursery and container bathrooms that are constantly cleaned and sanitized
Is there a food court?
Several food service outlets are provided within the Village of Wonders.
Are there parking lots nearby?
It is possible to park in the blue stripes along the Bastioni di Porta Venezia.
In Corso Venezia, Via Marina and the streets adjacent to the gardens.
In all parking lots there are, of course, numerous parking spaces reserved for disabled pass holders.
